Privacy Notice

This notice describes the data processing related to the accommodation service. A separate notice on data processing related to real estate brokerage is available at arthomeingatlan.hu/adatkezeles.

1. The data controller

LOLOTEA Kft. (6726 Szeged, Kállay Albert utca 15/B., Hungary; company registration number: 06-09-018236; tax number: 23755835-2-06), represented by Réka Kis-Jakab, managing director.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not obliged to do so under Article 37 of the GDPR.

2. What data we process, why and for how long

2.1 Accommodation booking (via the booking engine or by e-mail)

• Data: name, e-mail address, phone number, arrival and departure dates, number of guests, selected apartment, comments, billing name and address, and for companies the company name and tax number.
• Purpose: recording and confirming the booking, organising the stay, sending the information needed for access, keeping in contact.
• Legal basis: performance of a contract and steps taken prior to entering into it (GDPR Article 6 (1) b)).
• Retention: 5 years after the end of the stay (general civil law limitation period); accounting records for 8 years (Section 169 of the Hungarian Accounting Act).

2.2 Check-in, guest register, NTAK and VIZA reporting

• Data: the guest’s surname and first name, name at birth, place and date of birth, sex, nationality, mother’s name, type and number of identity document, address, date and time of arrival at and departure from the accommodation, and for Hungarian citizens within the scope required by law.
• Purpose: compliance with legal obligations: registration of the accommodation service and keeping the guest register, transmission of document data via the VIZA system, and statistical reporting to NTAK.
• Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (GDPR Article 6 (1) c)), under Act CLVI of 2016 and Government Decree 239/2009. (X. 20.).
• Retention: for the period specified by law (document data stored in the VIZA system are stored as required by law; we keep the data for 1 year after the stay).
• Recipient: the National Tourism Data Supply Centre (NTAK) and the operator of the Guest Information Closed Database (VIZA), Hungarian Tourism Agency (Magyar Turisztikai Ügynökség Zrt.).

2.3 Tourist tax

• Data: guest’s name, address, length of stay, number of guest nights, circumstances giving entitlement to tax exemption.
• Purpose: collection and declaration of the local tourist tax.
• Legal basis: legal obligation (Act C of 1990 on Local Taxes).
• Retention: until the right to assess the tax expires, 5 years.
• Recipient: the Municipality of Szeged (Szeged Megyei Jogú Város Önkormányzata) as the tax authority.

2.4 Corporate quote request form

• Data: contact person’s name, company name, e-mail address, phone number, planned arrival and departure, number of guests, expected frequency, comments.
• Purpose: preparing and sending a tailored corporate offer.
• Legal basis: taking steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6 (1) b)).
• Retention: 1 year from sending the offer; if a contract is concluded, as described in Section 2.1.

2.5 Invoicing

• Data: billing name, address, tax number for companies, details of the service, amount paid.
• Legal basis: legal obligation (Hungarian Accounting Act, VAT Act).
• Retention: 8 years.

2.6 Cookies and analytics

We use cookies necessary for the website to function (functional cookies) without consent. Statistical and marketing cookies, as well as the Google Analytics 4 and Meta (Facebook) pixel tracking codes, are activated only with your consent, which you can give in the cookie banner shown on the site and withdraw at any time.

• Legal basis: consent (GDPR Article 6 (1) a)).
• Retention: until the cookies expire, but no longer than 24 months; records of consent for 5 years.

2.7 Guest reviews

The reviews displayed on the site come from guest reviews publicly posted on Booking.com, shown with the first name and the traveller’s country. Anyone who wants their own review removed can let us know at stay@arthomeingatlan.hu, and we will remove it without delay.

3. Who has access to the data (data processors)

Cleaning and the operation of the apartments are carried out by our own staff; we do not use external partners.

Apart from the above, we do not disclose data to third parties unless required to do so by law or by an official request.

4. Your rights

You can request access to your personal data, its rectification, erasure or the restriction of its processing at any time, object to the processing, and exercise your right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

5. Data security

The website runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Booking data are stored in password-protected systems with access control, and only those who need them for their work have access. Paper documents are kept in a locked place.

6. Changes to this notice

We update this notice when necessary; the version in force at any time is available on this page. We will notify guests with existing bookings of any significant changes by e-mail. This English version is a translation; in case of any discrepancy, the Hungarian version shall prevail.
